Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the microblading treatment take?

The procedure can take up to 2 to 3 hours. The artist will begin to measure and shape your eyebrows. Once you agree to the shape of your brows, the artist will then select the pigmentation (INK) that matches your natural hair color.

How long will the effect last?

The effect will last from 1 to 3 years depending on your skin type, post care and lifestyle in conjunction to the clients age. Color duration primarily depends on how oily the skin is. The oilier the skin, the shorter the color will last.  Sweating and sun exposure also reduces the color durability.

On average, the expected time until a Color refreshment is between 10 and 12 months. With oily skin it is up to 6 months. Results varies from person to person. It should be noted that this an art and not a science.

It is extremely important for the client to obey the post care instructions to get the best results with the pigment durability.  Otherwise, the client may lose up to 80% of the pigment.

Will I require a touch up session?

This treatment is a two step process. A touch up is required 6-8 weeks after the initial session. Don’t be concerned if your eyebrows initially appear darker and thicker than what you desire. This is all part of the process.

After the initial procedure, the color may appear to be a shade too dark during the first 7 days; after that your brows will gradually soften and will appear lighter.  It is normal to lose approximately 1/3 of the color during the healing process.

Clients with oily skin, may require a third session.

How long will it take before it heals?

Your brows will appear to be healed in about 15 days. But your brows take up to 45 days to be completely healed. During this process, the area will be sensitive. The skin on your eyebrows will eventually scab and flake off.

Will it be painful?

No, it will not be painful. The area is numbed with a 5% Lidocaine Topical Numbing Cream, prior to starting the procedure so the client can have an enjoyable experience.
